Anse Chastanet is in one of the most scenic settings the Carribean has to offer. Nestled amidst a 600 acre tropical estate with two soft sand beaches bordering on pristine coral reefs, Anse Chastanet is in complete harmony with its natural surroundings and right in the heart of the island's marine reserves.

Anse Chastanet enjoys a unique hillside-beachside location. There are 49 individually designed rooms 12 of which are tucked away in a tropical garden behind one of beaches. The other 37 rooms are scattered about a lush hillside overlooking St. Lucia's world heritage site, the Piton twin peaks, and the Caribbean Sea.

Anse Chastanet is St. Lucia's only resort property with the iconic view of both the Piti and Gros Piton mountains floating upon the Caribbean Sea. The location of the property is unsurpassed. The resort property includes the historical plantation of Anse Mamin and Emerald Estate where the resort grows its own organic produce.

Accommodations
Anse Chastanet offers 49 individually designed rooms, 37 of which are scattered about a lush hillside, and 12 which are nestled within a tropical garden at beach level.

Anse Chastanet emphasizes the use of local woods and other local products in the room decor and furnishings. Cushions and bedspreads are made from colorful cotton fabrics called madras, the island's "national cloth." Even the resort bathrobes are locally made and have become a popular souvenir item!

The furniture has been individually designed and handmade in the region with the exclusive use of the island woods such as teak, mahogany, green heart, red cedar and wild breadfruit. All rooms have fridges, electric tea/coffee makers and wall mounted hair dryers, and in-room safes. Deluxe and Premium rooms also have irons and ironing boards.

Please note that there are approximately 100 stairs leading from beach level to mid-hillside level, thus making the property unsuitable for those with walking difficulties or cardiac problems. This is never a question of age. A complimentary shuttle service from beachside to hillside level is provided any time it is requested.
 

Dining at Anse Chastanet

Some of the best dining in Soufriere and St. Lucia can be found at Anse Chastanet. An enticing selection of menus is available in a number of intimate hillside and beachside locations and also, you can pre-book private dining arrangements at the water's edge on Anse Chastanet beach or in our spa cottage Kai Mer overlooking the Caribbean. Whether you fancy fine tropical Caribbean Cuisine, exotic Creole flavors, or simple grilled fare, you will find it available and more. Our culinary options also include our St.Lucia- East Indian menu titled Apsara, a wholly vegetarian restaurant called Emerald's and last not least our Jungle Grill for day time laid back dining on our second beach Anse Mamin. And of course, all of our kitchen receive organic produce from our resort farm Emerald's in the Soufriere hills.

Resort Facilities & Activities

Facilities at our 600 acre resort include soft sand beaches, 12 miles of walking and hiking trails in the Anse Mamin valley, 3 restaurant location serving a variety of menus, 2 bars plus the Jungle Grill at Anse Mamin, an excursions and car rental desk, 2 beachside boutiques, the Kai Belte Spa, Scuba St.Lucia, a watersports center, an art gallery, and a library. There is wi- fi available near our reception area and there are also computers for guest usage. 

There are so many activities on offer right on site than many guests feel that a return visit is needed to get to see the rest of the island!

Walking, hiking, birdwatching - all of these activities can be enjoyed on the resort property itself in addition to which there are daily scheduled excursions off property and all over the island.

Being located on the Caribbean coastline, the Anse Chastanet and Anse Mamin beaches and bay are perfect for sun bathing and swimming in calm crystal clear waters. Anse Chastanet is in the heart of St. Lucia's marine reserves and therefore offers excellent snorkelling and scuba diving right off shore. Non- motorized watersports are available from the resort watersports centre.
